Summary:
Designs, development, implementation, coordination, and continuous review of the academic curriculum for the PhD Biomedical Sciences programs.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Works on curriculum planning, structuring, development, and management for the PhD Biomedical Sciences programs.
- Participates in Curriculum Committee meetings and provide secretariat support, including agenda preparation, minutes, and follow-up on action items.
- Communicates and coordinate with course instructors, module leads, and thesis supervisors to ensure coherent course delivery.
- Assists in formulating and periodically updating course descriptions, syllabi, learning outcomes, and graduate study guides.
- Organizes and schedule lectures, seminars, laboratory sessions, and research skills workshops delivered throughout each academic term.
- Uploads and maintain all learning materials on the LMS (Moodle or equivalent), and support development of web-based and blended learning resources.
- Coordinates the availability of research laboratories, facilities, and specialized equipment required to support the academic program.
- Assists in the preparation and logistics of qualifying examinations and other PhD milestone assessments, including scheduling, coordination with examiners, and records management.
- Coordinates curriculum mapping to ensure alignment of learning outcomes, teaching methods, and assessment tasks across all PhD coursework.
- Leads curriculum review cycles and prepare documentation required for accreditation submissions (NCAAA, WFME, or equivalent bodies).
- Manages and update the PhD program handbook and all academic policy documents related to the curriculum
- Follows all Hospital’s related Policies and Procedures.
- Participates in self and others' education, training and development, as applicable.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education:
Master’s or in Training & Education, Health Administration, Medical Education, Health Education or other related discipline is required.
Experience Required:
Four (4) years with Masters is required.
