Saud International School is inviting applications for the position of Elementary Homeroom Teacher.
The ideal candidate should be warm, patient, organized, and passionate about working with young children. They should be able to create a positive classroom environment where children feel safe, confident, and encouraged to learn through structured activities, play-based learning, routines, and age-appropriate academic support.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver engaging preschool lessons and activities in line with the school’s curriculum and academic expectations.
- Create a safe, caring, and stimulating classroom environment that supports young children’s learning and development.
- Support children’s early literacy, phonics, numeracy, communication, fine motor, gross motor, social, and emotional development.
- Plan age-appropriate activities, worksheets, classroom displays, learning corners, and hands-on experiences.
- Maintain effective classroom routines, behavior expectations, and positive student engagement.
- Observe and assess student progress regularly and provide appropriate support where needed.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, student progress, classwork, behavior notes, and parent communication.
- Communicate professionally with parents, coordinators, and school leadership regarding student development and classroom matters.
- Use the school’s LMS and academic systems as required.
- Support school events, activities, assemblies, celebrations, and early years programs.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and the academic team.
- Ensure that children are supervised properly and that health, safety, and safeguarding expectations are followed at all times.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, English, or a related field.
- Early years teaching qualification or relevant professional certification is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience is preferred.
- Experience teaching preschool or early years students is an advantage.
- Strong classroom management skills suitable for young children.
- Good command of English and strong communication skills.
- Ability to prepare engaging, creative, and age-appropriate lessons.
- Patient, caring, responsible, and professional in dealing with young learners.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow school policies and academic procedures.
