About Tarshid

Tarshid is the National Energy Services Company, established by the Public Investment Fund to catalyze the development of a more energy efficient Saudi Arabia. The launch of Tarshid is a result of a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Finance and the Saudi Energy Efficiency Center. Tarshid aims to be a pioneer in the energy efficiency field and to build towards a more sustainable future. Tarshid has a mandate to develop, fund and manage impactful energy efficiency projects in government and commercial sectors that achieve significant energy savings for the Kingdom.

Job summary

The role is responsible for overseeing the operational performance, monitoring, and maintenance coordination of Tarshid solar PV portfolio during the O&M phase following project handover.

The role focuses on ensuring that solar projects achieve targeted generation and operational performance through continuous monitoring, technical analysis, coordination with ESCOs and contractors, and proactive resolution of issues impacting system efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:

-Monitor solar generation performance against guaranteed and expected targets.

-Analyze system performance trends and identify generation deviations or operational abnormalities.

-Coordinate with ESCOs and contractors to investigate and resolve technical issues impacting generation performance.

-Review operational data, alarms, and monitoring dashboards to ensure system reliability and availability.

-Support technical evaluation of solar system modifications, upgrades, and optimization opportunities.

-Ensure proper O&M follow-up for standalone and aggregated solar portfolios.

-Participate in technical review of handover documentation, warranties, performance guarantees, and as-built records.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or equivalent.

-Solar PV certifications, Renewable energy training , PMP, NABCEP or equivalent solar certification, PVsyst training is a plus.

Experience & Skills :

-Experience: Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in solar PV systems, renewable energy operations, or solar asset performance management.

-Language: Professional proficiency in English required, fluency in Arabic is a must.

-Interpersonal: Effective communication skills (written and verbal); open to working in a multicultural environment.

-Strong understanding of solar PV systems design, installation, operation, and maintenance.

-Knowledge of solar system components including PV modules, inverters, mounting structures, cabling systems, monitoring systems, and protection systems etc.

-Familiarity with solar performance analysis, degradation concepts, and generation optimization techniques.

-Knowledge of solar technologies, panel efficiency ratings, inverter technologies, and latest renewable energy market trends.

-Understanding of performance monitoring platforms, SCADA systems, IoT-based monitoring, and energy analytics tools.

-Ability to identify generation shortfalls, technical abnormalities, and operational issues impacting system performance.

-Familiarity with contractual performance guarantees, generation targets, and O&M service requirements.

-Knowledge of aggregated portfolio performance concepts for bundled solar programs.
