Tarshid is the National Energy Services Company, established by the Public Investment Fund to catalyze the development of a more energy efficient Saudi Arabia. The launch of Tarshid is a result of a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Finance and the Saudi Energy Efficiency Center. Tarshid aims to be a pioneer in the energy efficiency field and to build towards a more sustainable future. Tarshid has a mandate to develop, fund and manage impactful energy efficiency projects in government and commercial sectors that achieve significant energy savings for the Kingdom

Job summary

The jobholder will be working closely with the Technical senior project manager in day-to-day technical support duties, while ensuring technical and quality compliance for Solar projects. Responsibilities include support in reviewing and analyzing technical matters of solar projects, implementation of strategic initiatives, and preparing reports for the Technical Services Director.

Main Responsibilities:

Solar PV System Design

-Develop detailed electrical designs for utility-scale, commercial and industrial solar PV systems.

-Perform load analysis, system sizing, Cable Sizing, Circuit Breaker sizing and energy yield

calculations using industry-standard tools such as PVsyst, Helioscope, or equivalent software.

-Create single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematics, and layout drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.

-LV, MV and HV interconnection and design knowledge and assessment.

Feasibility Studies and Site Assessment:

-Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate solar resource potential and system compatibility.

-Analyze geographic, climatic, and shading factors to optimize design and performance.

Technical Specifications and Procurement:

-Prepare technical specifications for solar components such as inverters, modules, and mounting structures.

-Collaborate with procurement teams to evaluate vendor proposals and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Project Coordination and Oversight:

-Work closely with project managers, civil engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless execution of solar projects.

-Provide technical support during initiation, design, construction, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Compliance and Standards:

-Ensure designs comply with local and international electrical codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

-Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and relevant legislation.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

-Stay up to date with emerging solar technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

-Implement industry’s best practices for design and project execution.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.

-Relevant proven projects track record and history.

Experience & Skills:

0-2 years of experience in a relevant role, preferably in the Solar Energy industry in the Middle East.

-Language: Professional proficiency in English required, and fluency in Arabic is a plus.

-Interpersonal: Effective communication skills (written and verbal).

-Analytical: Good Technical knowledge relating to solar system.
