Job Title: Loss Prevention Coordinator
The Loss Prevention Coordinator is responsible for supporting the implementation of Environment, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) programs to ensure a safe and compliant workplace. The role focuses on risk identification, incident prevention, contractor safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of safety performance across plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of EHSS policies, standards, and loss prevention programs.
- Conduct workplace inspections, safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard identification activities.
- Monitor compliance with permit-to-work systems, life-saving rules, and safety procedures.
- Investigate incidents, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and track corrective actions to closure.
- Support contractor EHSS compliance, including pre-mobilization reviews and verification of safety plans and risk assessments.
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety awareness sessions, and support competency and training programs.
- Maintain risk registers and assist in developing Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and Task Risk Assessments (TRA).
- Promote a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and environmental requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of EHSS experience, including 3 years in processing plants or heavy industrial environments.
- Experience in process safety, permit-to-work systems, risk assessments, contractor management, incident investigation, and heavy equipment safety.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely, OSHA 30-Hour, ISO 45001 Internal Auditor, or equivalent are preferred.
