Role Description This full-time, on-site Registered Nurse role is based at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Medina. The Registered Nurse provides patient-centered care by assessing health status, planning and implementing nursing interventions, and evaluating outcomes in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Daily responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, monitoring vital signs and clinical progress, maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records, and ensuring adherence to infection prevention and patient safety protocols. The nurse educates patients and families about treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health promotion, while supporting evidence-based practice and participating in quality improvement activities. The role also involves coordinating care across departments, responding to emergencies, and contributing to the hospital’s teaching and research environment as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license and eligibility to practice in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated clinical competence in acute care nursing, including patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, and use of electronic health records.
- Knowledge of evidence-based nursing practice, infection control standards, and patient safety principles in tertiary or quaternary care settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and for educating patients and families.
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment, adapt to organizational policies and protocols, and manage workload in a high-acuity setting.
- Prior experience in specialties such as Oncology, Organ Transplantation, Cardiovascular, Neurosciences, or Genetic Diseases is an advantage.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or other relevant specialty certifications are preferred.
- Willingness to participate in continuing education, research activities, and quality improvement initiatives aligned with
