Role Description The Waiter role at THG is a full-time, on-site position based in Saudi Arabia. The Waiter is responsible for greeting guests, presenting menus, taking food and beverage orders, and serving items accurately and promptly. Daily tasks include setting up and clearing tables, ensuring cleanliness and readiness of the dining area, and coordinating with kitchen staff to deliver orders correctly. The Waiter handles guest inquiries, responds to special requests, and manages payments in line with company procedures. The role also involves following hygiene, safety, and quality standards, supporting colleagues during busy periods, and contributing to a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills, including attentive guest interaction, active listening, and a professional, courteous demeanor.
- Ability to handle order taking, food and beverage service, and basic point-of-sale operations accurately and efficiently.
- Good communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
- Understanding of basic food safety, hygiene practices, and health and safety regulations in a restaurant environment.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to support colleagues and maintain a positive work environment during peak service times.
- Attention to detail and time management skills to manage multiple tables and ensure timely service.
- Previous experience as a waiter or in a similar hospitality role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by restaurant operations.
