University of Prince Murgin (UPM) is hiring faculty members of the highest caliber to fill vacancies in the College of Engineering (COE):

About the Position:

• Position Lecturer, Teaching Assistant
• Department: Interior Design (INTD), COE
• Campus Location: Madinah, Saudi Arabia

Qualifications:

• Bacholer's degree in Interior Design Engineering for Teaching Assistant position.
• Master's degree in Interior Design Engineering for Lecturer position.
• Excellent command of English language (spoken and written).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Evidence of scholarly records and published research in relevant areas.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teach and develop courses.
• Completes documentation as required to maintain programmatic accreditation.
• Supervise senior research projects.
• Teaches undergraduate and graduate courses as per the program curriculum.
• Advises assigned student advisees on individual plan of study (POS) and approves registration plans. New full-time faculty members may be exempted from this duty for their first semester at the University.
• Advises assigned student advisees on academic student policies.
• Monitors the academic progress of student advisees regarding passing/failing courses, dropping/adding courses, withdrawing from courses, academic probation, and referral to Academic Support Services/Counseling services.
• Participates in departmental activities, College and University committees.
• Collaborates with Department Head and faculty members on curriculum planning and development.
• Participate in research/scholarly activities in your area of specialty, involving undergraduates in his/her research.
• Supervises internship students when assigned.
• Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the department chair and the dean of the College.

Special job demands (working conditions, travel, hazards, etc.):

• Attends departmental events/exhibitions during and after working hours.
• Attends University major events.
• Conducts evening classes when need arises.
• Chaperone students in field trips
