Job Summary
The Electrician is responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment across the company's food and beverage facilities, hospitality operations, and wedding/event hall. The role ensures that all electrical installations operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations and company standards to support uninterrupted business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, lighting systems, power distribution panels, switches, sockets, and electrical equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems in kitchens, restaurants, banquet halls, offices, storage areas, and other facilities.
- Diagnose electrical faults and carry out timely repairs to minimize operational downtime.
- Inspect electrical systems regularly to ensure compliance with safety standards and local electrical codes.
- Maintain and repair emergency lighting systems, backup power systems, and electrical control panels.
- Support the setup and maintenance of electrical requirements for weddings, conferences, and special events.
- Coordinate with other maintenance team members to complete repair and improvement projects.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and work orders.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests during business operations and events.
- Ensure proper use of electrical tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Follow company health, safety, and food safety procedures at all times.
- Recommend improvements to enhance electrical system reliability and energy efficiency.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Valid electrician license or certification (where required by local regulations).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably within hospitality, food and beverage, hotels, or event venues.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, motors, lighting, and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and technical diagrams.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance reporting are an advantage.
