Job Title: Pharmacist

Department: Pharmacy

Reports To: Pharmacy Manager

Job Summary

The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications, reviewing prescriptions, and providing pharmaceutical care to patients in accordance with hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and regulatory requirements. The role helps ensure the safe and effective use of medications while supporting patient care and medication management processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and dispense prescribed medications accurately and in accordance with approved policies and procedures
• Verify prescriptions for appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and potential contraindications
• Provide medication counseling and education to patients and healthcare professionals when required
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and ensure proper storage and handling of medications
• Support compliance with medication safety standards, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (BPharm, PharmD, or equivalent)
• Valid professional classification and registration with the relevant healthcare regulatory authority
• 1-3 years of experience in pharmacy practice, hospital pharmacy, or a related field
• Healthcare or hospital experience is preferred
• Fluency in Arabic and English languages
