About the Role
The job holder is responsible for overseeing the procurement, supply chain, and logistics operations within KSIADC, ensuring effective management of local content, supplier relationships, warehouse operations, and transport logistics to support organizational goals, operational continuity, and project success.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement and Supply Chain
- Develop and implement a comprehensive local content procurement plan, aligning with KSIADC’s goals and PIF requirements, to enhance local supplier involvement and contribute to industry growth
- Conduct local market assessments to gather insights on industry standards, identifying opportunities for local sourcing that supports KSIADC’s procurement strategy and objectives
- Establish clear criteria for evaluating suppliers, ensuring their alignment with KSIADC’s goals, quality standards, and performance expectations, promoting effective collaboration
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers and stakeholders to foster trust, improve collaboration, and support the growth of local industries
- Monitor supplier performance regularly, tracking compliance with contractual obligations, quality expectations, and delivery timelines to ensure continuous improvement
- Facilitate effective communication channels to resolve issues promptly, address supplier inquiries, and ensure smooth coordination and long-term partnerships
- Create and maintain a supplier database to track qualifications, certifications, and performance, ensuring easy access to supplier information for future procurement decisions
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier reliability, operational efficiency, and supplier development, addressing any gaps or challenges promptly
- Develop an organized warehouse management system, ensuring inventory availability, tracking, and proper storage, to support operational continuity and prevent stockouts
- Oversee the receipt, unpacking, and distribution of materials and equipment within the warehouse, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment and preventing inventory discrepancies
- Establish safety and security protocols for warehouse operations, minimizing risks such as incidents, damage, or unauthorized access to maintain a secure environment
- Develop detailed logistics plans, integrating material handling, transport schedules, and site-specific requirements to optimize operations and reduce downtime
- Manage the selection and coordination of transport providers, ensuring reliability, compliance with safety standards, and timely delivery of materials to project sites
- Monitor site conditions and optimize material placement, facilitating easy access and minimizing operational disruptions to enhance site efficiency and minimize delays
- Track and report material movements with precision, using accurate data management systems to maintain transparency and enable operational control across the supply chain
Policies, Processes and Procedures
- Follow all relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
- Help in solving escalated problems and provide needed support for junior team to ensure work is carried out in an efficient manner
- Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure cases/issues are closed properly
People Management
- Train junior staff on the different job activities to ensure transfer of know-how, when applicable
- Support junior staff or direct reports in order to execute their duties according to set policies and processes
Education
- Master’s degree in similar role or equivalent is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in similar role or equivalent is required
Experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience in similar role or equivalent
