Job Purpose:

Provide Electrical Protection related technical support for internal O&M customers in Yanbu to ensure effective plant and network protection.

Key Duties & Responsibility:

• Attend Technical Support/Service Requests for Plant and networks electrical protection systems and equipment technical study and modification scope work in compliance with applicable specification and internationally recognized standards
• Conduct asset remaining life assessment (ARLA) study including scheduling.
• Prepare preliminary scope of work for submission to costumers to be implemented under CAPEX/OPEX projects and conduct MIRA. CMIR as applicable.
• Recommend improvements to departmental procedure and direct the implementation of instructions and controls covering a specific area of Electrical Protection Engineering activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.
• Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls within a defined area of Electrical Protection Engineering activity to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
• Support and participate in Reliability studies (RCM, RBI, RCA and IPF) as required and support in promoting the Reliability Culture.
• Update technical specifications upon request.
• Participate in and support the PES gating system, particularly for technology assessment.
• Adherence and compliance to Department.
• Review and provide comments on internal customer technical submittals and Engineering design packages.
• Participate in the recruitment, train, develop and motivate staff in the Electrical Protection section to ensure that staffing is at the required levels and Caliber and that performance is continuously managed and improved.
• Review of other department procedure, SOP, Work instruction and Ensure TSD portion is according to its scope.
• Participate in Electrical HAZOP as applicable,
• Participate upon request for technical discussion with internal and external customer as applicable not limited to SEEC, SERA, NGSA, GSCS.
• Explore and study initiative in terms of energy saving, renewable, efficiency, cost saving and like to enhance overall objective.
• Supporting internal lab related analysis.

Technical task related to Electrical as assigned to TSD from RCA outcome and its compliance for closure.

Minimum Education Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Electrical or Electrical Power Engineering.

Minimum Experience Requirements:

• 7-10 years’ experience working in Utility organization.
• 7 years’ high voltage protection experience.
• Experience of SAP or and computerized Protection tools and Microsoft office packages.
• Experience in performing technical studies, problem solving, troubleshooting and evaluations.
• Experience with developing specification, Procedures, SOP.
