Job Purpose:

To maintain and support the electrical supply and distribution network across hospital facilities by performing inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective works, and by supporting planned electrical works and reporting to ensure safe and reliable operations.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Maintain all electrical power distribution from the secondary side of all SCECO transformers in the hospital buildings. Transformer inspection and oil level and contaminant status.

2. Maintain medium voltage transformers and RMU under responsibility of DSFH.

3. Provide technical support to all technicians working in the DSFH and AMS site.

4. Be aware of the locations and status of Main Distribution panels on each floor. Respond to any emergency call in compliance to specified respond and rectification time.

5. Maintain Emergency Generators and associated ATS.

6. Maintain UPS, emergency lighting, pole lighting, swimming pool lighting, ceiling lighting, Socket standards, etc.…

7. Arrange request to maintain stock within predefine stock list for all electrical consumable and emergency stock.

8. Routine wiring inspections throughout the facility.

9. Maintain his and his staff tool issuance and availability levels.

10. Daily activity and problems found to be reported to the Electrical Systems Unit Manager.

11. Always maintain safe working practice codes.

12. Maintain an accurate reporting system together with detailed equipment data and work history detail on all plants.

13. Make technical report on all maintenance problems.

14. Prepare electrical scope of work for planned projects.

15. Make comments and suggestions on internal/external projects under FM scope.

16. Follow all maintenance issues related to his section and endorsed to electrical technicians.

17. Must perform daily rounds with documents and prepare the reports to be submitted to the Electrical Systems Unit Manager.

18. Making of duty time schedule.

19. Record all daily maintenance issues reports on logbooks or send soft copy through e-mail.

20. Close follow up and ensure compliance of all patient rooms operational in the hospital.

21. Ensure availability PPM procedure for all the required machines in all buildings.

22. Inspect all unused and scrap items for disposal arrangement.

23. Conducting daily checklist for maintenance record and status.

24. Check all vacant rooms and take note of all maintenance issues which are related to his section.

25. Update all documentation of PPM checklists for all required machines and equipment’s.

26. Perform troubleshooting to all required equipment and machines which are related to his job.

27. Other duties as assigned within the scope of the job.

Job Requirements

Skills and Abilities:

- Ability to read and understand single line drawings and technical specifications.

- Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical systems and equipment.

- Ability to use various hand and power tools common to trade.

- Attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices.

- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively with co-workers.

- Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years as an electrical technician

Education:

Certification in electrical systems or related fields

Language:

Excellent command of oral and written English and Arabic.

Licenses / Certifications:
