Role:

Platform engineer bridge the gaps between software and hardware. They are essential in administering all software services configurations into various environments and supervising application packaging processes while maintaining optimal quality for each application. They manage and maintain all applications, prepare ad hoc reports for various systems and assets, and evaluate and document all operating systems per required standards and associate requests.

Responsibilities:

• Develop business cases for investments to drive improvements in metrics.
• Build automation to support product development and data analytics initiatives.
• Create, maintain, and track designs (at high and detailed design level) with issue resolution.
• Provide high quality content deliverables using the appropriate document templates.
• Work with product management to direct priorities and ensure successful execution.
• Participate in the Agile Devops design, development, testing, and release of new capabilities and features with focus on release and post-production support
• Coordinate and perform changes to the systems within their portfolio and their infrastructure
• Deploy enhancements to application infrastructure in complex data environments running on premise and in the cloud
• Develop, execute, and maintain system integration of data management platforms running on a variety of frameworks

Skills/Experience:

• Subject Matter Expert (SME) on a specific technology or vendor product
• Narrow skills as specialized with strong knowledge in a single technology, application, or a suite of products. (I shaped).
• Practiced with APIs.
• Skilled with scripting and frameworks
• Expected 3-5 years relevant experience in a product, with overall 5+ years career in Technology.
• Expert level certification in specific technology/vendor product is preferred
• Experience with engineering CI/CD pipelines for micro service and container architecture
• Windows and Linux automation
• Microsoft Azure/Intune/Office 365
• PowerShell/Bash scripting
• JSON/YAML
• Microsoft Exchange/Active Directory/Azure AD management & Setup
• Ansible, Terraform, K8s, GitOps
