Role Description The Fiber Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Dammam, responsible for installing, splicing, terminating, and testing fiber optic cables for industrial and commercial projects. Day-to-day tasks include pulling and routing fiber and related cabling, performing fiber optic fusion and mechanical splicing, conducting inspections and acceptance tests, documenting test results, and ensuring all work aligns with project specifications and safety standards. The role involves troubleshooting and repairing fiber networks, collaborating with engineers and site supervisors, and maintaining tools, equipment, and materials in good working order. The Fiber Technician will also assist with site surveys, support commissioning activities, and coordinate with other trades to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong skills working with fiber-related infrastructure, including Fibre and Optics, with experience in splicing, testing, and documentation.
• Hands-on experience with Cables and Cabling, including installation, routing, and termination in industrial or commercial environments.
• Proficiency in Troubleshooting fiber networks and cable faults, using appropriate test equipment and diagnostic methods.
• Knowledge of relevant safety standards, codes, and best practices for electrical and low-current systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, cable schedules, and work instructions.
• Previous experience as a Fiber Technician or in a similar telecom/low-current role is highly beneficial.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively on-site with multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to work in field conditions, adhere to safety procedures, and manage time and tasks independently.
