Asset Operations Manager - Makkah, Saudi Arabia

Are you an experienced Asset Operations Manager with a passion for optimizing asset performance, driving operational excellence, and leading high-performing teams? We are looking for a dynamic professional to join our client's Operations team and play a key role in managing the lifecycle and performance of a diverse portfolio of operational assets.

About the Role:

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and optimizing the operation and maintenance of the company's assets to ensure they are safe, reliable, and operating at peak efficiency. You will lead maintenance strategies, oversee contractors, monitor asset performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that maximize lifecycle value while ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.\

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the operation and maintenance of the company's operational assets to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable performance.
• Develop and implement operational strategies, maintenance plans, policies, and procedures aligned with business objectives.
• Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximize asset availability and reliability.
• Monitor operational performance, maintenance KPIs, and asset health, implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee contractors and service providers, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, SLAs, quality standards, and operational requirements.
• Manage operational and maintenance budgets while identifying cost optimization opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
• Coordinate with internal departments, consultants, contractors, utility providers, and government authorities to support operational activities.
• Support the transition and operational readiness of newly completed assets.
• Prepare executive reports, operational dashboards, and performance updates for senior management.
• Identify operational risks and implement effective mitigation strategies to support business continuity.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Asset Operations team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Facilities Management, Asset Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Asset Operations, Facilities Management, Infrastructure Operations, or Maintenance Management, including at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of:

• Operational KPIs & Performance Management
• Risk Management & Business Continuity
• Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance
• Experience managing operational and maintenance budgets.
• Proficiency in CMMS/EAM systems (e.g., IBM Maximo, SAP PM, Infor, Archibus, or equivalent).
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Professional certifications such as CMRP, FMP, PMP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Fluent in both Arabic and English (spoken and written).
