Traffic & Safety Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Traffic & Safety Engineer with 2 years of experience to oversee, design, and manage Traffic Management Plans (TMP) and site safety protocols. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth traffic flow, minimize risks, and maintain full compliance with Saudi traffic regulations and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Traffic Management Plans (TMP): Design, review, and implement traffic detour plans, signage, barriers, and temporary control devices for site operations.
• Site Inspection & Safety: Conduct regular site audits to ensure compliance with traffic safety standards and mitigate road hazards for workers and the public.
• Authority Coordination: Liaise with local authorities (Ministry of Transport, Municipality, Traffic Police) to secure required traffic permits and approvals.
• Risk Assessment: Perform traffic risk assessments and implement corrective actions for site safety.
• Team Supervision: Guide and train traffic controllers (flagmen) and site personnel on safe traffic procedures.

Key Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in traffic engineering or road/infrastructure projects.
• Professional Accreditation: Active registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting traffic detour layouts; strong knowledge of local traffic codes and safety regulations.
• Languages: English, Arabic
