The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating daily shipping activities to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of products. This role involves preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, tracking shipments, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily shipping operations and ensure on-time dispatch of orders.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents, invoices, packing lists, and delivery notes.
- Schedule shipments with freight carriers, logistics providers, and transport companies.
- Monitor shipment status and provide updates to internal teams and customers.
- Track deliveries and resolve shipping delays, damages, or discrepancies.
- Ensure accurate order processing, labeling, packaging, and documentation.
- Maintain shipment records, reports, and logistics databases.
- Coordinate with warehouse, procurement, sales, and customer service teams.
- Verify freight charges and support cost-control initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and transportation regulations.
- Assist in improving shipping processes and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in shipping, logistics, freight coordination, or warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of shipping documentation and transportation procedures.
- Experience working with ERP/WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar systems preferred).
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
