Core Job Summary

The QA/QC Manager establishes, implements, and maintains the quality assurance systems and inspection protocols across all stages of production-from raw sheet metal receipt to the final painted and assembled enclosure-ensuring zero-defect delivery to clients. Also architects, enforces, and audits the plant's Quality Management System (QMS) to satisfy ISO 9001 and international structural steel and welding code metrics

The QA/QC Manager is responsible as well for the overall quality, structural integrity, and cosmetic finish of custom and standardized sheet metal enclosures. The role requires an analytical leader with deep technical knowledge of fabrication tolerances, welding standards, paint finish metrics, and final assembly compliance who can proactively prevent defects and resolve customer quality issues.

Key Responsibilities

• In-Process Inspection Standards: Establish and enforce Go/No-Go criteria for each production stage: flatness and dimensions after laser and CNC cutting, bend angles and tolerances at the press brakes, and weld integrity.
• Paint & Finish Validation: Oversee rigorous testing on the powder coating line, including dry film thickness (DFT) checks, cross-hatch adhesion tests, gloss level measurement, and color-matching audits.
• Final Assembly Audit: Implement rigorous final inspection protocols for enclosure seals, hardware alignment (hinges, latches, PEM fasteners), ingress protection (IP/NEMA ratings) consistency, and overall cosmetic perfection.
• Defect Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into internal non-conformances and customer returns using structured problem-solving tools to implement permanent corrective actions.
• Supplier Quality Management: Inspect and approve incoming raw materials (sheet steel, powder paint chemicals, gaskets, electronic components….etc)
• Equipment Calibration: Manage the calibration schedule for all precision measurement tools, including vernier calipers, height gauges, paint thickness meters
• Certification Maintenance: Maintain the facility’s quality certifications (such as ISO 9001) and lead internal and external quality audits.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience: 5+ years of Quality Management experience specifically within precision sheet metal fabrication or enclosure manufacturing.
• Technical Knowledge: High level knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, blueprint reading, AWS welding inspection standards, and powder coating testing methods. Active AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) is mandatory
• Language: Strong command of English or Arabic.
