MOBCO Group is seeking a highly experienced Estimation Director to lead the estimation function for major construction projects across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the contracting industry, a proven ability to secure high-value projects through competitive and accurate tendering, and strong leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Estimation Department across all business units.
- Develop and implement tendering and estimation strategies to maximize project win rates.
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract conditions.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate cost estimates, budgets, and commercial proposals.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning, commercial, and project management teams during bid preparation.
- Identify project risks and opportunities and incorporate them into pricing strategies.
- Lead value engineering initiatives to enhance project competitiveness while maintaining profitability.
- Review subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure technical and commercial compliance.
- Present final estimates and bid strategies to executive management for approval.
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Analyze market trends, labor rates, material costs, and construction methodologies to maintain competitive pricing.
- Mentor and develop estimation engineers and managers to strengthen departmental capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and client requirements.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture (Master's degree is an advantage).
- Minimum 25 years of experience in the construction and contracting industry.
- Proven experience working with reputable contracting companies.
- Extensive experience in the Saudi Arabian construction market.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully winning and securing major construction projects through competitive tender submissions.
- Strong knowledge of pre-contract management, cost estimation, value engineering, and tender strategy.
- Excellent commercial, contractual, and financial acumen.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
