Job Purpose

Manage the real time monitoring and maintenance of SNB network infrastructure during assigned shift hours. Role combines advanced technical troubleshooting with tactical team leadership. Lead the team to manage critical incidents and ensure strict adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to maintain system availability.

Key Accountabilities

Team Supervision

• Define tasks and objectives for various teams within the section and manage their progress to ensure the successful delivery of team goals, in alignment with departmental objectives and overall strategy.
• Monitor the performance of both teams and individuals, providing regular feedback to ensure optimal resource utilization and the consistent delivery of quality service.

Budgeting

• Study and recommend enhancements to management during budgeting exercise to ensure that accurate budget is prepared without compromising on service quality.

Policies, Procedures, Work Instructions and Governance

• Develop, review and implement approved departmental policies, procedures and work instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
• Manage the implementation of remedial actions to close audit and risk comments to ensure their delivery as agreed.
• Adhere to the Bank’s AML/CTF policy, guidelines and all SAMA’s regulations relating to account opening, KYC and Customer Due Diligence.

Network Operations

• Monitor the execution of production tasks, such as batch processing and operational jobs, to ensure that transactions are processed and reports are generated on time, meeting the needs of the business and customers.
• Respond promptly to all alerts, addressing or escalating issues as necessary, while collaborating closely with business stakeholders to maintain a high standard of service.
• Supervise NOC operations on a 24/7 basis by managing batch processing, monitoring automated jobs and services, and taking appropriate actions to resolve issues across all IT components (applications, systems, network, security, infrastructure, storage, ATMs, etc.).
• Manage SNB's datacenters and media library efficiently to support operational requirements.

Continuous Improvement

• Motivate subordinates and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of business processes, productivity and cost reduction.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Competencies

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or any related field or an acceptable educational level accompanied by a strong banking experience.

Experience:

• 5-8 years’ relevant experience in IT Systems or related IT functions including at least 3 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in a financial institution
