JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE
To assist the Piping Superintendent for all piping and construction of offshore Jackets and Production Decks (PDM’s) To be involved in creating work packs and planning of daily jobs and interfacing with all
departments for completion of works. Apart from being well versed in the various piping processes, to provide on-site coordination for all phases of work, including planning of consumables, piping subcontractors’
allocation, and detailed scheduling as per project requirements. To ensure projects are completed safely, on time.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure all Piping activities are executed safely in conjunction with HSES policies.
- Ensure all Piping activities are executed in accordance with the applicable rules and standards.
- Assist Project Piping Superintendent with project tracking system, schedule management and material distribution and control.
- Update schedules, tracking systems and monitor project progress.
- Implement lessons learned from previous projects.
- Assist Engineering to implement easy and cost-effective alternative installation methods.
- Liaise with QC Inspectors and assist with completing the ITRs.
- Conduct `Toolbox talks with Piping department personnel as and when required.
- Ensure that all relevant Piping works and operations are effectively and efficiently carried out in accordance with the project schedule and budget.
- Assist in the preparation, submission, monitoring, and control of additional work requests and change orders.
- Monitor all elements of work execution and provide input to the planning department as necessary.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
Experience
- At least 3-9 years’ experience in the Offshore Oil and Gas Construction Industry.
