Role Description We are seeking an experienced Port Engineer to join our Shore Support Team in Saudi Arabia.
Applicants must already be Saudi Aramco Approved as a Port Engineer. Applications without valid Saudi Aramco approval will not be considered.
The Port Engineer will be responsible for the technical management and operational readiness of vessels under HSM's care, including:
- Planning and supervising vessel maintenance and repairs
- Coordinating dry-docking and major overhauls
- Ensuring compliance with Saudi Aramco, Class, Flag State, and statutory requirements
- Conducting vessel inspections and technical audits
- Supporting vessel operations from shore
- Coordinating with Masters, Chief Engineers, vendors, shipyards, and clients
- Preparing technical reports, maintenance plans, and budgets
- Managing spare parts procurement and technical services
- Supporting offshore projects while maintaining high standards of safety, reliability, and operational excellence
Qualifications
- Mandatory: Valid Saudi Aramco Approval as a Port Engineer.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Port Engineer, Marine Engineer, or equivalent shore-based/offshore support role.
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related engineering discipline.
- Class-certified Marine Engineer Certificate of Competency is preferred.
- Strong experience in vessel maintenance, repairs, dry-docking, and technical management.
- Experience managing offshore support vessels or commercial vessels.
- Thorough knowledge of Saudi Aramco marine requirements, IMO regulations, SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code, and Classification Society Rules.
- Ability to conduct vessel inspections, condition assessments, and technical evaluations.
- Strong knowledge of PMS systems, technical reporting, and maintenance planning.
- Ability to read technical drawings, OEM manuals, and Class requirements.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
