Our client is seeking an experienced MEP Site Engineer with strong Data Centre construction experience to support the delivery of critical MEP systems on a hyperscale data centre project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Data Centre sector experience is a must, with specific experience in cooling systems construction and site installation.

Key responsibility

• Supervise and coordinate MEP site installation works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
• Oversee the construction and installation of cooling systems, including chilled water systems, chillers, pumps, CRAH/CRAC units, cooling towers, pipework, and associated equipment.
• Coordinate MEP works with civil, structural, electrical, and other project disciplines to ensure efficient site execution.
• Monitor subcontractor activities, workmanship, progress, and compliance with approved designs and quality standards.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and technical documentation related to MEP installations.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure works comply with project specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities for MEP and cooling systems.
• Track site progress, identify construction issues, and coordinate resolutions with the project and engineering teams.
• Ensure proper installation, testing, and documentation of MEP systems in line with Data Centre requirements.

Experience & Requirements

• 5+ years of MEP site/construction experience.
• Data Centre construction experience is mandatory.
• Proven experience with cooling systems construction and installation within Data Centre or other critical infrastructure environments.
• Experience with chilled water systems, chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, cooling towers, and associated mechanical systems.
• Relevant Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, MEP Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of MEP construction, coordination, inspection, testing, and commissioning.
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Experience working with subcontractors, consultants, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong knowledge of construction quality, HSE requirements, and site coordination.
• Hyperscale Data Centre experience is highly preferred.
• Candidates with experience delivering large-scale critical infrastructure projects will be preferred.
