Jensen Hughes has an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven and technically credible Senior BD Manager - Security Risk Consulting to join our Middle East Security team. The role will be technically competent and will lead market development and opportunity conversion for our Security Risk Consulting services, while supporting selected project delivery and mobilisation activities.
This is a Business development led position requiring strong security consulting credibility , rather than a generalist sales role. The successful candidate will combine a strong understanding of security risk consulting and operational security with sufficient knowledge of physical and electronic security design to recognise client needs, shape appropriate solutions and engage credibly with senior stakeholders.
The role is expected to devote approximately 70-80% of time to business development, client engagement and responses to opportunities, with a primary focus on Security Risk Consulting identifying and supporting opportunities across the wider security service. The remaining time will normally support project delivery, particularly security risk assessments, strategies, operational reviews and the early mobilisation of newly awarded commissions. The balance may vary in response to market and project demands.
Based in Riyadh , Saudi Arabia, the position reports to the Regional Security Director - Middle East& India and will work closely with the Head of Security Risk Consulting - Middle East, the wider security team, regional business development colleagues and relevant Jensen Hughes specialists and although based in KSA, the role will cover the overall Middle East region.

- Develop and execute a focused market plan for Security Risk Consulting, while identifying opportunities for the wider security service aligned with Jensen Hughes capabilities, aligned with regional growth priorities ,agreed revenue objectives and the wider Jensen Hughes service offerings.
- Identify, qualify and develop leads across government and quasi-government entities, major developers and operators, critical infrastructure, financial services, hospitality, transportation, ports and logistics, facilities management and other priority sectors.
- Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, security leaders, risk and resilience teams, operators and strategic partners.
- Maintain a qualified opportunity pipeline, capturing plans and accurate records within the company’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system; providing clear monthly reporting on activity, progress, conversion, risks and required support.
- Lead or coordinate client meetings, capability presentations, workshops, market briefings and targeted thought-leadership activities that generate credible follow-on opportunities .
- Shape clear, commercially viable service offerings, including fixed-scope and tailored solutions covering security, threat and risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, security strategies ,security and resilience reviews , operational security audits, protective security reviews , crisis and emergency management frameworks, procedures, training, exercises and implementation support.
- Lead responses to expressions of interest, pre-qualifications, requests for proposals and direct client enquiries, preparing or coordinating technically accurate methodologies, scopes, programmes, resource plans, assumptions, exclusions, deliverables and fee inputs.
- Collaborate across security risk consulting, security design, fire and life safety, resilience and other specialist teams to develop integrated solutions.
- Support or lead selected assignments within the candidate’s competence, particularly security threat and risk assessments, vulnerability assessments , security strategies, operational and protective security reviews, policy and procedure development, crisis and emergency preparedness, workshops, training and exercises.
- When newly awarded work cannot immediately be transferred to the full delivery team, establish and mobilise the commission by confirming scope, programme, information requirements, stakeholder interfaces, resourcing and quality controls.
- Where required, act as the initial project lead, facilitate kick-off activities and progress early deliverables until the designated project team is in place and an orderly, documented handover has been completed.
- Provide practical advice across operational, physical and technology security controls, drawing in appropriately qualified specialists for matters outside the role’s direct competence.
- Undertake client and site engagements across Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East region, including workshops, assessments, presentations and senior stakeholder briefings.
- Prepare concise, evidence-based reports and recommendations that are proportionate to the client’s risk, operating environment, applicable requirements and capacity for implementation.
- Contribute lessons learned, reusable methods, proposal content, fee benchmarks and market insight to strengthen the consistency and scalability of the regional Security Risk Consulting offering.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in Business Development - security risk management, operational security, resilience or security consulting, including substantial senior client facing advisory and/or consultancy experience, along with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of professional qualifications and senior-level experience.
- Proven success in identifying, shaping, proposing and winning professional security risk consulting work.
- Strong knowledge of Security Threat and Risk Assessment (STRA),vulnerability assessment , security strategy, operational and protective security audits and reviews, governance, crisis and emergency planning, training and exercises.
- Working knowledge of physical protection, electronic security systems and security design principles.
- Strong understanding of the Saudi Arabian market, client environment and stakeholder landscape, supported by relevant experience and a credible professional network.

- Professional fluency in English is required, Arabic language capability is highly desirable, with strong proposal writing, reporting, presentation, facilitation and negotiation skills.
