JOB PURPOSE:
To effectively implement the Mechanical Vocational Engineering Program and carry out
comprehensive technical assessments and to educate and train students or trainees in vocational
engineering principles, practices, and technologies.
Collaborate as part of the Institute's Engineering Teaching Delivery team to enhance the Trainee Learning Journey for industry preparedness- .Deliver instruction per established curricula, developing personalized lesson plans that align with the Engineering Program and diploma pathways
- .Ensure teaching resources are current, align with workshop equipment, and meet specific industry needs
- .Provide diverse training resources that support practical learning and accommodate various learning styles
- .Contribute to and advise on the development of teaching resources within your assigned area
- .Promote best practices and innovative approaches in teaching, learning, and assessment
- .Work collaboratively with Engineering Teams and Quality Coordinators to support comprehensive curriculum delivery
- .Actively participate in the “Train the Trainer” CPD program to improve teaching quality
- .Maintain communication with Engineering Management to ensure trainees meet industry competencies and work readiness
- .Supervise trainees, monitor retention and progression, and uphold the Trainee Code of Conduct
- .Any Other associated work as required by EWA Management. 7. Work with Engineering Teams, Quality Coordinators, other Teachers/Instructors and others with responsibility for teaching, learning and assessment in assigned area of responsibility to support a holistic approach to curriculum delivery
