About the Role

Accountable Area Key Responsibilities Strategy Participate in setting the section’s goals and strategies Develop and own data Integration Design execution plans Participate in the Data Engineering Strategy Participate in the Enterprise Data As Asset Strategy Oversee opportunities and develop strategies that support achieving the bank’s vision.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and own the Data Integration design policies, procedures and standards and ensure the implementation of required controls covering all integration Design activities, tools supporting all different types of Sources of data such as Enterprise Data Warehouse, Big Data and Operational Data Repository.
• Ensure the adherence to relevant departmental policies, processes and standards and operating procedures so that work is carried out in a governed and consistent protocols.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvement and automation.
• Optimize and improve quality of service and quality of deliverables and develop performance monitoring and improvement methodologies.
• Oversee day to day the overall integration Design activities according to the agreed plans and engagements in different initiates and projects.
• Oversee and maintain design capabilities for all types of owned integration and data management technologies and resources to ensure supporting emerging needs in the bank.
• Manage integration Design Engineers teams and support their growth and assist their day to day work.
• Manage integration Design engineering engagements in different divisions and departments projects across the bank and allocation of resources as per agreed plans and priorities.
• Provide leadership and Manage subordinate groups, units and teams.
• Develop processes and approaches to further enhance quality of deliverables and expedite delivery speed.
• Oversee day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with established standards, policies and procedures.
• Communicate progress of the committed activities to relevant stakeholders inside and outside enterprise data management department.
• Oversee the practices of Integration Design Engineering and build capabilities to ensure readiness and scalability of integration Design resources, processes & technologies.
• Direct the best utilization of integration Design engineering capabilities in driving business value.
• Participate in different tactical committees from bank’s strategic big initiatives, programs and projects.
• Plan and manage data integration Design resources and tools to integrate and support all different types of data management platforms such as EDW, Big Data, Operational Data Store.
• Direct the planning and execution of Integration Design and implementation activities and solutions.
• Plan data Design tools acquisition.
• Plan and manage the engagement of data integration engineers and resources in business changes through the SDLC process.
• Develop roadmaps, strategies and plans for data Integration Design targets and engagement responsibilities in different projects and initiatives.
• Oversee the design of high-throughput data ingestion and data integration processes so business applications can get the data they need quickly.
• Help business to translate their strategies and requirements into solutions that utilizes the powerful data integration tools and platforms to integrate business data and processes toward achieving their goals.
• Oversee and lead designing integration transformations, and parsers to enable any type of data to be quickly ingested and processed on different types of data management platforms such as big data infrastructures (Apache Hadoop, NoSQL, and MPP appliances) or traditional DWH and applications.
• Develop and maintain optimal delivery approaches to serve different needs with focus on balancing cost, complexity and risks to achieve business outcomes.
• Provide and maintain standards in big data integration solutions to turn more big data into business value quickly.
• Grow and boost Integration Design Engineering services and operations to increase the efficiency and productivity.
• Plan and ensure the coverage and capacity of Integration Design Engineering services across the bank.
• Manages the relationship with the different stakeholders to ensure business interests & understanding are considered in the provided Integration Design services.
• Plan and manage the delivery capabilities of data integration Design for strategic projects and initiatives.
• Adopt innovation in integration Design for reusability and scalability and faster implementation with less impact and risk.
• Promote data as enterprise asset and participate in increasing the awareness of data impact in the bank.
• Coach and educate data Integration Design Engineers about importance of Data & Information in driving business value.
• Oversee the preparing and training for data integration Design engineers to become aware of new trends and approaches.
• Direct & guide the subordinates on how to play the role of Integration Design Engineering on all levels.
• Manage the effective achievement of Data Integration Design engineers objectives through leadership and motivation.
• Set individual objectives, recruiting qualified staff, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal - in order to maximize subordinate and division performance.
• Assess the impact of introduced changes to people, process and systems and develops relevant communication and awareness initiatives to support the effective implementation of change.
• Represents the section and actively contributes in various committees/meetings (internal and external) as applicable and per authority levels in order to ensure relevant matters are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.
• Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Management System or Computer Science with preferably Master degree in MIS.
• 6-8 years of relevant experience in Integration Design tools and techniques.
• Language: English: Advanced.
