Role Summary
The IT Specialist is responsible for installing, maintaining and supporting computer systems, networks & hardware in Tahreez office based in Riyadh.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar IT Help Desk, Technical Support, or IT Support role.
- Proven experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues in a business environment.
- Experience managing user accounts, access rights, and Active Directory (or similar directory services).
- Experience with system backups, patch management, and basic disaster recovery procedures.
- Prior involvement in IT projects or technology rollouts is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of desktop/laptop hardware installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Proficiency with Windows and/or macOS operating systems; familiarity with common business software suites.
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi troubleshooting).
- Familiarity with antivirus/endpoint security solutions and patch management tools.
- Experience with ticketing systems and IT documentation/inventory tools.
- Understanding of IT security standards and compliance best practices (e.g., data protection, access control).
Soft Skills & Competencies
- Strong customer service orientation and communication skills for user training and support.
- Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff clearly.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for diagnosing hardware/software/network issues.
- Good organizational skills for maintaining documentation, inventory, and support records.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests/priorities.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, printers, and other IT equipment
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
- Monitor and maintain network performance, security, and connectivity
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights
- Install software updates, patches, and antivirus solutions
- Perform regular system backups and assist with disaster recovery planning
- Maintain IT documentation, inventory, and support records
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and best practices
- Assist with the implementation of new technologies and IT projects
- Train users on IT systems, software, and security awareness
