MOBCO Group is seeking an experienced Department Communications Specialist to support the Commercial and Contracts Department in managing internal and external communications, commercial documentation, correspondence, reporting, and coordination across projects.
The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of experience in the construction/contracting industry with a strong Commerce/Business background and excellent communication, documentation, coordination, and reporting skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all official correspondence for the Commercial & Contracts Department.
- Prepare, review, and maintain commercial and contractual communications with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal departments.
- Draft professional letters, notices, emails, memos, and contractual correspondence.
- Maintain and organize commercial and contract documentation, registers, and records.
- Coordinate with project teams to collect and consolidate commercial and contractual information.
- Prepare periodic commercial reports, status reports, dashboards, and management summaries.
- Track correspondence, submissions, approvals, responses, and outstanding actions.
- Support the Commercial and Contracts team in monitoring claims, variations, notices, and contractual communications.
- Ensure timely follow-up and escalation of pending commercial and contractual matters.
- Coordinate communication between Head Office, Project Teams, Consultants, Clients, and Subcontractors.
- Maintain confidentiality and proper control of sensitive commercial and contractual information.
- Support the preparation of presentations, meeting minutes, action trackers, and departmental reports.
- Ensure departmental communication and documentation comply with company procedures and document-control requirements.
- Assist the Commercial & Contracts management team with administrative and coordination activities as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably within a construction or contracting company.
- Strong understanding of commercial and contracts functions within the construction industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong experience in preparing professional business and contractual correspondence.
- Good knowledge of commercial documentation, claims, variations, notices, and contract administration.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and document-management skills.
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and meet tight deadlines.
- Saudi/GCC construction experience is preferred.
