Mosaic Conseil is a boutique remote consultancy that functions as a small workshop. We specialize in rebuilding business artifacts, including pricing grids, financial models, and diligence files, by stripping them down to their core evidence. Our firm is looking for a Junior Web Developer to join our team. We are currently supporting a major logistics and distribution client as they modernize their internal financial reporting tools. This role is fully remote and offers the chance to work on precise, evidence-based projects without the distractions of traditional corporate life.
About Mosaic Conseil
We operate on a personal and focused scale. In our workshop, every file and every piece of code carries two names on the cover: one person who builds and one who argues against what was built. This builder and challenger model ensures that every assumption is tested before a project is finalized. We do not produce slide decks or work on standing retainers. Instead, we deliver redrawn artifacts supported by clear, written arguments. By staying small and remote, we remain independent and focused on the evidence at the floor of the business. We serve four specific areas: financial services, industrial networks, healthcare systems, and growing software companies.
What you would do
As a Junior Web Developer, you will be responsible for translating complex business logic and financial models into functional web-based tools. Working with our logistics client, you will help build interfaces that track supply chain costs and visualize large sets of ledger data. Your work will involve more than just writing code: you will participate in the process of auditing existing files and rebuilding them for better clarity and performance. In this role, you will:
- Develop and maintain internal web applications used for financial analysis and reporting.
- Translate spreadsheet-based pricing models and grids into interactive web artifacts.
- Collaborate with the challenger on your team to refine code logic and ensure accuracy.
- Write clear documentation that explains the technical choices behind your work.
- Assist in the migration of legacy data artifacts into modern, accessible web formats.
- Participate in the rigorous testing of every tool before it is delivered to the client.
- Help manage the remote technical infrastructure that supports our boutique operations.
Helpful background
This is an entry level position, and we are looking for individuals who value intellectual honesty and precise work. We prioritize curiosity and a foundational understanding of web technologies over a long list of previous job titles. The following traits and skills will help you succeed in our workshop:
- Basic proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with a modern framework such as React, Vue, or similar tools.
- A strong interest in how data is structured and presented to users.
- The ability to write clear, professional prose to support your technical work.
- Comfort working in a fully remote environment that requires self-discipline.
- An analytical mindset that enjoys taking complex systems apart to see how they function.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Previous projects or coursework related to data visualization or financial tools.
How we work
Our workshop is designed for deep work. We do not have meetings that were not scheduled well in advance, and we do not use chat platforms for endless, unfocused conversations. Because we are fully remote, we rely on written arguments and scheduled telephone calls to move projects forward. When you build something, your colleague will challenge it, looking for errors in logic or missed evidence. This process is not about criticism, but about ensuring the final artifact is correct. We value the discipline of the small team and the clarity that comes from working on one specific problem at a time.
What the role offers
This is a permanent, full-time position that allows you to work from anywhere. We provide a professional environment where you can focus on technical skill and logical reasoning rather than corporate theater. The position is paid, and the compensation is competitive for the role and the current market. You will receive direct feedback from experienced professionals, helping you develop a sharp eye for both code and business logic. There is no requirement for travel or relocation, as our firm has been remote from the beginning to maintain our independence.
At Mosaic Conseil, we believe that the best business tools are built on the bench, one piece at a time. We are looking for a developer who finds satisfaction in the details and who wants to contribute to a firm that values the evidence found in the ledger over the polish of a presentation. The work is demanding in its requirement for accuracy, but it offers a level of focus and autonomy that is rare in larger organizations.
