Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary

The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for supporting pharmacists in the preparation, dispensing, storage, and management of medications. The role helps ensure accurate and efficient pharmacy operations while maintaining medication safety and compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with preparing, dispensing, packaging, and labelling medications in accordance with approved procedures
• Receive, store, and organize medications while ensuring appropriate storage conditions and inventory levels
• Process prescriptions and maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation
• Support inventory control activities, including stock counts, expiry monitoring, stock rotation, and medication replenishment

Qualifications

• Diploma in Pharmacy Technology or a related field
• Valid SCFHS professional classification and registration
• 1-3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a related pharmacy role
• Healthcare or hospital experience is preferred
