We are looking for a qualified candidate to join our Information Technology team as:

Position: IT Application Support

Reporting to: IT Application Manager

Job Purpose

The IT Application Support role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of business applications used within the organization. The role serves as the primary contact for application-related issues and works closely with end-users, IT teams, and vendors to resolve incidents, optimize system performance, and support business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues reported by users, ensuring minimal business disruption.
• Provide guidance and training to end-users on application functionality and best practices.
• Proactively monitor applications and address performance issues.
• Assist in configuring applications based on business requirements and support integration with other systems.
• Coordinate with software vendors and IT teams to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain knowledge base articles, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
• Support application updates, patches, and version upgrades.
• Ensure applications comply with company security policies, industry regulations, and data protection requirements.
• Identify opportunities to enhance system performance, streamline processes, and improve user experience.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Advanced courses and certifications in Insurance.

Experience

• 1-4 years of experience in IT Application Support or a similar role, preferably within the insurance or financial sector.
• ITIL Foundation, Azure Fundamentals, or other relevant application-specific certifications.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Experience with enterprise applications, including ERP, CRM, or insurance-specific systems.
• Knowledge of databases (SQL, Oracle) and ability to run queries for troubleshooting.
• Understanding of APIs, integrations, and basic scripting for automation.
• Familiarity with ITIL framework and service management tools such as ManageEngine and JIRA.
• Basic networking knowledge to troubleshoot application-related connectivity issues.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and customer-service skills.
