Torod, a fast-growing SaaS company in the Shipping Management space, is seeking a talented and experienced Head of Engineering to lead our dynamic engineering team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for shaping the technical direction of our company, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of our products.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the entire engineering organization, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Lead the development and implementation of a clear technical vision and roadmap aligned with the overall business strategy.
• Architect and build scalable, secure, and maintainable SaaS solutions using PHP (including frameworks like Symfony) and other relevant technologies.
• Recruit, build, and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering a strong culture of ownership and accountability.
• Oversee all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Champion best practices in software development, including code reviews, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), and automated testing.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (product, design, marketing, sales) to ensure a seamless product development process.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the PHP ecosystem.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in software engineering leadership roles.
• Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Deep expertise in PHP development, including modern frameworks like Laravel, Symfony.
• Strong understanding of software development best practices, including Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps principles.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (GCP, Oracle) are a plus.
• A strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
