🚨 We’re Hiring | Residue Storage Area (RSA) Specialist | Saudi Arabia

We are currently seeking an experienced Residue Storage Area (RSA) Specialist for an opportunity within the mining and industrial sector in Saudi Arabia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the safe, reliable, environmentally responsible, and compliant operation of residue/tailings storage facilities, with a strong focus on asset integrity, GISTM compliance, monitoring & surveillance, risk management, water management, and emergency preparedness.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support daily RSA/TSF operations, including residue deposition, water recovery, drainage, and associated infrastructure.
• Monitor embankment conditions, freeboard, pond locations, seepage, and operational constraints.
• Support implementation and ongoing compliance with GISTM and applicable tailings management standards.
• Review and interpret geotechnical monitoring data, including piezometers, inclinometers, settlement monuments, seepage, and survey monitoring systems.
• Implement and support Trigger Action Response Plans (TARPs).
• Maintain operational and geotechnical risk registers and mitigation actions.
• Support Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans (EPRP), drills, and emergency scenarios.
• Coordinate with the Engineer of Record (EoR), RTFE, ITRB, engineering, operations, environmental teams, and contractors.
• Support water balance management, pond inventory, return-water recovery, seepage, stormwater, and environmental controls.
• Participate in audits, inspections, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

🎓 Bachelor's Degree in one of the following:

• Civil Engineering
• Geotechnical Engineering
• Mining Engineering
• Chemical Engineering
• Environmental Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering

Master's degree in Geotechnical, Mining, Water, or Tailings Engineering is preferred.

💼 Experience

• Minimum 8 years of industrial experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in one or more of:
• Tailings Storage Facilities (TSF)
• Residue Storage Areas (RSA)
• Tailings/dam operations
• Mining operations
• Alumina refining residue management
• Dam safety
• Water management facilities
• Direct GISTM implementation experience is highly preferred.
• Experience working with EoR, RTFE, and/or ITRB structures is an advantage.
