About The Role
The Associate Technician, Paint Shop Process in Jeddah (KAEC) will support daily paint shop operations by preparing accurate paint mixtures, maintaining mixing room equipment, and ensuring consistent quality standards. This hands-on role requires a skilled technician with 5-7 years of experience in paint mixing environments, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and mix paint formulations according to approved formulas and production schedules
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain paint mixing room equipment including mixers, scales, and dispensers
- Perform quality checks on mixed paint batches, record results, and adjust processes to meet specifications
- Monitor and manage paint inventory levels, coordinate replenishment to prevent production delays
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe mixing area in compliance with environmental and safety regulations
- Collaborate with production, quality control, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions
- Document batch data, deviations, and maintenance activities accurately in the system
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience in paint mixing or paint shop operations
- Proficiency in paint mixing techniques and understanding of paint chemistry
- Experience operating and maintaining paint mixing room equipment (mixers, scales, dispensers)
- Strong grasp of quality control procedures and ability to perform batch testing
- Familiarity with safety protocols for handling chemicals and hazardous materials
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work under production timelines
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in industrial painting, coatings technology, or related field
- Prior experience in automotive or heavy-equipment paint shops
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Basic computer skills for inventory management and reporting
- Forklift or material handling equipment license
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for inventory and batch tracking
