Job Purpose
The role holder is responsible for governing and monitoring end-to-end GEO, MEO, and LEO satellite services to ensure availability, reliability, and operational continuity across space, ground, and customer service domains. The role holder leads monitoring, incident and problem management, preventive maintenance, technical investigations, service provider governance, and operational coordination to proactively resolve issues and maintain service performance. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedure
Job Responsibility
- stablish 24/7 E2E monitoring of GEO/MEO/LEO satellite services (space segment, ground segment, gateways, user terminals, links, and customer services).
- Monitor centralized operational status, orbital assets, satellite health, and service-impacting space events for proactive response.
- Operate fault management platforms for proactive detection, prioritization, and escalation of service-affecting alarms.
- Govern major incident management, coordinating restoration across partners, operators, and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with service providers for daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly operational reviews.
- Act as technical authority for satellite operations, providing governance and guidance across space/ground segments.
- Lead problem management, including root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions.
- Conduct technical investigations for outages/degradations (payloads, transponders, gateways, inter-satellite links, customer platforms).
- Govern change management, ensuring risk assessments, implementation reviews, and post-change validation.
- Perform preventive maintenance via baseline health checks.
- Audit managed service providers for compliance with standards, contracts, and best practices.
- Coordinate technical acceptance of new satellites, gateways, payloads, and providers.
Job Responsibility (cont.)
- Troubleshoot and escalate faults via TSS, ensuring timely fixes and proper escalation paths.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (Service Performance, Engineering, Cybersecurity, etc.) for E2E operational governance.
Serve as SPOC for Commercial Unit inquiries and own L0/L1 performance for GEO/MEO/LEO services.
