Job Purpose: Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee compensation, benefits, and final settlements, while maintaining compliance with internal financial policies, labor laws, and government regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Processing:
- Prepare and process monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring data alignment with HR records.
- Calculate base salaries, allowances, overtime, bonuses, incentives, and authorized deductions (absences, delays, penalties).
- Deductions & Statutory Compliance:
- Calculate and remit General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) contributions and manage supporting government platforms.
- Track and apply personal deductions, employee loans, and salary advances.
- Benefits & End of Service Settlements:
- Compute and process End of Service Benefits (EOSB), annual leave payouts, and final settlements for departing employees.
- Financial Reporting & Reconciliation:
- Prepare and post payroll journal entries into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Conduct periodic reconciliations between payroll ledger accounts and company bank statements.
- Upload monthly payroll files via the Wage Protection System (WPS) within designated deadlines.
- Support & Auditing:
- Address employee inquiries regarding salary breakdowns and deductions with transparency.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors by providing required payroll documentation and records.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-4 years of proven experience as a Payroll Accountant or in a similar role.
- Technical Skills & Systems:
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo).
- In-depth knowledge of Labor Law, GOSI regulations, and Wage Protection System (WPS) requirements.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
