Role Description The Design Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dammam. The Design Engineer will develop and refine designs for oilfield equipment, rig structures, mud systems, and related mechanical and structural components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company specifications. Day-to-day tasks include creating and updating CAD models and technical drawings, performing design calculations, collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and production teams, and supporting fabrication and assembly with clear documentation. The role also involves reviewing customer requirements, contributing to product optimization, participating in design reviews, and coordinating with quality and project teams to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong Design Engineering skills with a focus on industrial, structural, or equipment design.
• Mechanical Engineering knowledge applicable to oilfield equipment, tanks, and rig components.
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D drawings and 3D modeling.
• Understanding of Electrical Engineering principles relevant to integrated equipment and systems.
• Experience in Product Design, including concept development, prototyping, and design optimization.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards (e.g., API, ISO, DNV,Aramco) and engineering codes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and fabrication documents.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and quality.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional, on-site teamwork.
• Previous experience in oil & gas, industrial fabrication, or heavy equipment manufacturing is an advantage.
