Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lifting Supervisor to oversee and coordinate lifting and rigging activities on large-scale building construction projects. The successful candidate must have proven experience in high-rise building construction and tower crane operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all lifting and rigging activities on site.
• Plan and control daily lifting operations in coordination with the lifting team and construction management.
• Ensure lifting activities are carried out safely in accordance with approved lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Supervise tower crane lifting operations, including material handling at different building levels.
• Coordinate with crane operators, riggers, signalmen, and site engineers.
• Inspect lifting equipment, accessories, and rigging gear before use.
• Ensure proper slinging, signaling, securing, and handling of loads.
• Monitor compliance with lifting procedures and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate lifting activities with other construction operations.
• Stop unsafe lifting operations and report hazards or incidents immediately.
• Maintain lifting equipment inspection and lifting activity records.
• Conduct toolbox talks and provide guidance to rigging and lifting teams.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in lifting and rigging supervision.
• Mandatory experience in high-rise building construction.
• Mandatory tower crane experience.
• Experience on large-scale building, hospitality, high-rise, or mega construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of lifting plans, rigging practices, lifting accessories, and load handling.
• Good knowledge of construction site safety requirements and lifting regulations.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced construction environment.

Mandatory / Preferred Certifications

• Valid Lifting Supervisor / Appointed Person certification from a recognized training body.
• Lifting & Rigging certification.
• Tower Crane / Crane Safety certification is highly preferred.
• Banksman / Slinger-Signaller certification.
• OSHA / NEBOSH / IOSH certification is an advantage.
• Valid Third-Party Inspection (TPI) awareness/certification for lifting equipment is an advantage.
• Relevant Saudi Aramco, SABIC, or other recognized lifting certifications will be an added advantage for candidates with applicable project experience.

Education

• Diploma or relevant technical qualification in Construction, Mechanical, Lifting/Rigging, or a related field is preferred.
