Project Overview

The Ar Rjum Project comprises a green field gold project with three open pit mining operations with associated waste dumps and ore stockpile, a processing plant, tailings management facilities, and supporting infrastructure including water supply, power supply, maintenance facilities, offices, temporary and permanent accommodation village.

The Project is situated within the Central Arabian Gold Region, approximately 200 km north-east of Taif towards Riyadh and about 26 km South of Al Mouwayh, which is a small town situated on the Jeddah - Riyadh highway.

Job Summary

Working within a multi-disciplinary team environment, you will support senior civil engineers in the preparation, coordination, and review of civil engineering deliverables to assist in project management activities.

You will be involved in reviewing conceptual and detailed civil design works - prepared by subcontracted design entities - to ensure compliance with applicable civil codes, engineering standards, and specific project requirements.

Major Responsibilities

• Reviewing drawings for constructability and providing interpretation to installation subcontractors
• Providing inputs for constructability reviews and preparing Advance Work Packing documents
• Monitoring construction activities to ensure quality, project schedule adherence and compliance with drawings, specifications and codes, through regular inspections
• Performing quantity takeoffs and assisting with the preparation of field material requisitions
• Conducting site visits for the purpose of producing daily reports of the work and/or subcontractor activities
• Coordinating input to the quantity tracking and progress database used for measuring project completion
• Preparing punch lists to track incomplete work
• Maintaining the highest level of safety awareness and ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest safety standards
  
  

Education And Experience Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university earned within the past twelve (12) months
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Willingness and ability to travel and/or relocate to project job sites as required
  
  

Required Knowledge And Skills

• Completed relevant coursework with a strong GPA
• Prior internship experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated teamwork skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Design Suite software programs, ability to prepare reports, and experience in 3D and 4D modelling software
