We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the Group’s digital transformation project and the development of its data environment alongside the transition to Google Workspace.

The Data Engineer will be responsible for preparing, organizing, and integrating data from different systems and sources, and developing data processing processes to ensure accurate and reliable data is available to support reporting, analytics, and business requirements.

The role will work closely with the Data Analyst, IT teams, and various business departments to understand data requirements, improve data quality and integration, and reduce reliance on manual processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract and prepare data from databases, systems, and various data sources.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes for data extraction, transformation, and preparation.
• Build and maintain reliable Data Pipelines for data processing and transfer.
• Work with Google BigQuery to organize, store, and process data.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and processing.
• Integrate data from different systems and sources, including ERP, CRM, and internal systems when required.
• Perform data quality checks and identify missing, duplicate, or inconsistent data.
• Troubleshoot data-related issues and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve them.
• Organize and document data sources, tables, transformations, and processing workflows.
• Support the development of data warehouses and data structures based on reporting and analytics requirements.
• Automate recurring data processing and transfer tasks to reduce manual work.
• Work closely with the Data Analyst to provide the required data for reports, dashboards, and analysis.
• Follow approved data security, privacy, and access-control requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering or a related field.
• Good knowledge of SQL and databases.
• Practical experience with ETL/ELT and data processing.
• Practical knowledge of Google BigQuery or cloud data platforms.
• Good understanding of Data Warehousing and Data Modeling concepts.
• Ability to work with data from multiple sources.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Good knowledge of Python for data processing and automation.
• Basic knowledge of system integration and APIs.
• Understanding of data quality and governance principles.
• Experience with ERP or CRM systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace is a plus.
