Job Summary

The QC Coating Inspector is responsible for inspecting surface preparation and coating application activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements in oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, and pipeline projects.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Inspect surface preparation activities including blasting and cleaning
• Verify environmental conditions prior to coating application
• Monitor coating application processes and ensure compliance with approved procedures
• Conduct DFT (Dry Film Thickness), holiday testing, adhesion testing, and visual inspections
• Ensure compliance with SAEP-316 and project specifications
• Identify and report non-conformities and follow up on corrective actions
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain QA/QC documentation
• Coordinate with contractors, QA/QC teams, and client inspectors

Mandatory Requirements

• B.S. Degree in Engineering with minimum 5 years of relevant inspection experience
• OR Industrial/Technical Diploma with minimum 8-10 years of relevant inspection experience in oil & gas / refinery / petrochemical / pipeline projects
• Valid certification: CSWIP-BGAS Level 2 / NACE Level 2 / Equivalent
• Qualified as per SAEP-316 requirements
• Demonstrated experience in all phases of critical coating applications
• Valid driving license (Mandatory)
