Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Taif for a Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial refrigeration and air-conditioning systems across Queen's Taste facilities.

Key responsibilities include maintaining cold rooms, blast freezers, freezers, chillers, split units, packaged units, and central air-conditioning systems. The role also involves diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults, servicing compressors, evaporators, condensers, control panels, thermostats, and related components, and replacing defective parts when required.

The Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Technician will conduct scheduled preventive maintenance, monitor refrigerant levels, operating pressures, temperatures, airflow, and electrical connections, and respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize operational downtime. The role requires close coordination with the maintenance department and external service providers while ensuring compliance with food-factory hygiene, occupational safety, and environmental requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or technical certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, HVAC, or a related technical field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in refrigeration and air-conditioning maintenance
• Practical experience with cold rooms, blast freezers, chillers, commercial refrigeration systems, and HVAC equipment
• Strong knowledge of compressors, evaporators, condensers, refrigerants, thermostats, control systems, and related components
• Ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and perform necessary repairs
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and technical drawings
• Experience using refrigeration and HVAC diagnostic tools and measuring equipment
• Knowledge of refrigerant pressures, temperature monitoring, airflow, electrical connections, and system performance checks
• Experience conducting preventive maintenance and responding to emergency equipment breakdowns
• Ability to maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, and repair records
• Good understanding of occupational safety procedures and hygiene requirements in food-production environments
• Ability to work independently, prioritize maintenance requirements, and respond effectively to urgent breakdowns
• Good physical condition and willingness to work flexible hours when operational requirements demand it
• Good English communication skills
