Position Title: Demand Planning Engineer

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role:

Reef Group is looking for a motivated and analytical Demand Planning Engineer to support forecasting and demand planning activities across our retail operations.

This role is responsible for analyzing demand trends, building accurate forecasts, and supporting data-driven planning decisions to optimize inventory availability, improve service levels, and minimize forecast deviations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare demand forecasts using historical data, statistical forecasting models, and analytical tools.

• Analyze demand behavior and trends across different periods and multiple sales channels.

• Evaluate the impact of marketing campaigns, promotions, and seasonality on demand and incorporate findings into forecasts.

• Continuously improve forecast accuracy and minimize variances between planned and actual demand.

• Support S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) meetings by preparing demand analyses and alternative planning scenarios.

• Develop dashboards and analytical reports to track demand trends, forecast accuracy, and performance variances.

• Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing teams to understand market changes and update forecasting assumptions.

• Review forecasting assumptions regularly and update them based on actual performance and new business insights.

• Monitor forecasting performance, analyze deviations, and provide corrective recommendations.

• Analyze demand across multiple channels including retail branches, e-commerce, and wholesale operations.

• Support new product launches through initial forecasting and post-launch demand monitoring.

• Contribute to enhancing forecasting methodologies and improving demand planning maturity.

• Coordinate with planning and supply chain teams to align demand forecasts with purchasing, distribution, and production plans.

• Analyze the impact of forecast accuracy on inventory and service levels and recommend improvement opportunities.

• Prepare periodic management reports regarding demand planning performance and operational impact.

• Utilize ERP and BI systems to ensure demand data quality and reporting accuracy.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase demand planning efficiency across supply chain operations.
