Role Description The Laboratory Specialist role at Saudi German Health in Abha is a full-time, on-site position responsible for performing routine and specialized laboratory tests in accordance with established protocols and quality standards. The Laboratory Specialist prepares specimens, operates and maintains laboratory equipment, and ensures accurate documentation and reporting of test results to support clinical decision-making. The role involves monitoring quality control measures, calibrating instruments, and adhering to safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements. The Laboratory Specialist collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to prioritize test requests, troubleshoot analytical issues, and contribute to continuous improvement in laboratory processes.

Qualifications

• Strong laboratory skills, including specimen handling, test execution, and adherence to laboratory medicine protocols.
• Experience with laboratory equipment, including operation, calibration, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Proficient analytical skills for interpreting test results, validating data accuracy, and identifying discrepancies.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures and compliance with relevant laboratory standards, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory, or a related field; relevant professional certification or licensure as required by local regulations.
• Previous experience working in a clinical laboratory setting, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment.
• Ability to work accurately under time constraints, strong attention to detail, and effective communication skills with multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems and basic computer skills; English proficiency and Arabic language skills are an advantage.
