تعلن شركة Fathom.io عن توفر وظيفة Junior DevOps Engineer في الظهران، المنطقة الشرقية، السعودية. نبحث عن شخص متحمس لبناء منصات موثوقة وآمنة ومؤتمتة - وليس فقط تشغيل قائمة دعم. هذا الدور مناسب لخريج جديد أو من لديه خبرة 1-2 سنوات في المجال، ويستمتع بحل مشاكل البنية التحتية باستخدام الكود. ستعمل إلى جانب فرق الهندسة والمنصة لتحسين طريقة بناء التطبيقات ونشرها ومراقبتها وتأمينها عبر البيئات السحابية.
المهام والمسؤوليات
- المساعدة في بناء وصيانة منصات التطبيقات القائمة على Kubernetes.
- إنشاء وتحسين أتمتة النشر باستخدام Docker وHelm وTerraform وأدوات CI/CD.
- تجهيز وإدارة البنية التحتية من خلال ممارسات البنية التحتية كرمز (Infrastructure as Code).
- تحسين المراقبة باستخدام Grafana وTempo وAlloy وMimir؛ ومساعدة الفرق على تحويل البيانات الرصدية إلى رؤى قابلة للتنفيذ.
- دعم البيئات السحابية والهجينة، خاصة GCP وOpenShift، مع عقلية مستقلة عن السحابة.
- أتمتة المهام التشغيلية المتكررة وتحديد الفرص باستمرار للتخلص من العمل اليدوي.
- المساعدة في التحقيق في الحوادث وتحسين الموثوقية والمتابعة بعد الحوادث.

About The Role
We’re looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer who is excited to build reliable, secure, and automated platforms - not simply operate a support queue. This role suits a fresh graduate or someone with 1-2 years of relevant experience who enjoys solving infrastructure problems with code.
You’ll work alongside engineering and platform teams to improve how applications are built, deployed, observed, and secured across cloud environments.

You’ll work alongside engineering and platform teams to improve how applications are built, deployed, observed, and secured across cloud environments.
What You’ll Do
- Help build and maintain Kubernetes-based application platforms.
- Create and improve deployment automation using Docker, Helm, Terraform, and CI/CD tooling.
- Provision and manage infrastructure through infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Improve observability using Grafana, Tempo, Alloy, and Mimir; help teams turn telemetry into actionable insights.
- Support cloud and hybrid environments, primarily including GCP and OpenShift, while working with a cloud-agnostic mindset.
- Automate repetitive operational tasks and continuously identify opportunities to eliminate manual work.
- Assist with incident investigation, reliability improvements, and post-incident follow-ups.
- Partner with developers to make deployments safer, faster, and more repeatable.
- Contribute to platform security practices, including secrets handling, access controls, container security, and policy compliance.
- Maintain clear documentation, runbooks, and reusable automation.
- Fresh graduate or 1-2 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, software engineering, systems administration, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Linux fundamentals: shell usage, processes, filesystems, permissions, package management, and basic troubleshooting.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, load balancing, firewalls, and TLS.
- Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and CI/CD concepts; exposure to GitHub Actions is a plus.
- Exposure to containers and orchestration, especially Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code, ideally Terraform.
- Basic understanding of Helm, YAML, Git, and CI/CD concepts.
- Programming or scripting ability in at least one language such as Python, Bash, Go, or JavaScript.
- Curiosity about monitoring, logging, tracing, and system reliability.
- A strong automation-first mindset: you look for repeatable solutions rather than relying on manual processes.
- Clear communication skills and willingness to learn in a collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with Grafana, Tempo, Alloy, Mimir, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry.
- Exposure to cybersecurity, governance, risk, compliance, or audit requirements.
- Awareness of secure software supply-chain practices, vulnerability management, IAM, secrets management, or policy-as-code.
- Familiarity with GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux.
- Any open-source contributions, homelab projects, cloud certifications, internships, or relevant university projects.
