Job Description    

 We are looking for an experienced Technical Manager to lead and manage the technical activities of our construction projects. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing design coordination, technical submissions, construction drawings, and engineering matters, ensuring full compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Lead and manage all technical and design-related activities throughout the project lifecycle.

·        Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to ensure proper coordination and constructability.

·        Manage and coordinate technical submissions, shop drawings, RFIs, material submittals, and design changes.

·        Coordinate closely with consultants, designers, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams to resolve technical issues.

·        Ensure construction drawings and technical documents comply with project specifications, approved designs, and contractual requirements.

·        Provide technical guidance and support to site teams during project execution.

·        Identify design conflicts and technical risks and recommend practical and cost-effective solutions.

·        Lead technical coordination meetings and follow up on outstanding technical matters.

·        Support value engineering initiatives and propose alternative technical solutions where applicable.

·        Monitor technical deliverables and ensure timely approvals to avoid delays to the construction program.

·        Maintain proper records of drawings, approvals, technical correspondence, and design revisions.

·        Support project management in technical evaluations, planning, and coordination with relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Architecture is mandatory as a minimum qualification.

·        Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in technical management.

·        Proven experience as a Technical Manager or in a similar senior technical role on major construction projects.

·        Strong background in architectural design coordination, technical documentation, and construction methodologies.

·        Strong knowledge of shop drawings, RFIs, material submittals, specifications, and design coordination processes.

·        Demonstrated ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including Architectural, Structural, and MEP disciplines.

·        Strong problem-solving, leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

·        Proficiency in relevant engineering and design software.

·        Experience in large-scale or complex construction projects in Saudi Arabia or the GCC is preferred.

·         Valid Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership is preferred/required.
