We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Construction Manager to be responsible for the civil construction works of District Cooling Plants and Central Cooling Plants. The main role of the Civil Construction Manager will be to coordinate with thedifferent civil subcontractors, client representatives, and local authorities to ensure that civil works are executed on time, within the required budget, and with the required quality standards. The projects involve the construction and installation of foundations, structural works, drainage systems, roads, access ways, and other civil infrastructure required for cooling plant facilities.

Responsibilities:

Working under the direct supervision of the Project Manager, the

successful candidate should be able to oversee and manage the Industrial EPC Project by

closely working with the stakeholders having the following responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage civil construction works for District Cooling Plants and

Central Cooling Plants, ensuring timely, budget-compliant, and quality execution.

● Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, the client’s representative, and local

authorities to ensure all civil works are conducted according to the design

specifications.

● Supervise and direct the construction of civil works such as foundations,

structural elements, drainage, roads, and access areas.

● Ensure compliance with all relevant local regulations, safety standards, and

quality requirements.

● Conduct regular site inspections to monitor the progress of civil construction work

and ensure adherence to safety protocols and construction schedules.

● Collaborate with other project managers and engineering teams to align civil

construction activities with mechanical and electrical works.

● Review and approve construction schedules, budgets, and work plans.

● Troubleshoot and resolve issues on-site during the construction phase.

● Provide regular reports to senior management and the client, including progress

updates, risk assessments, and resource management.

● Manage procurement and logistics for civil materials and equipment, ensuring

timely availability on-site.

● Ensure proper implementation of safety measures and supervise site safety

activities.

Minimum Requirements:

The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:

• Graduated in Civil Engineering or a related field.

• UAE and/or Qatar experience is a must.

• 10+ years of field experience in construction.

• Contractor experience is a must.

• Experience in District Cooling, Data Centers or Central Cooling Plants is

recommended.

• Previous experience as a Civil Construction Manager in industrial projects that

involve large-scale infrastructure, such as cooling plants, substations, power

plants, or similar projects.

• Experience reading Architectural, Civil, and Structural drawings.

• Languages: Fluent in English.

• Driving license.

• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D or 3D (civil engineering designs).

• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).

Desirable Additional Requirements:

• Experience in Quality Control for construction projects.

• Experience in site supervision and managing subcontractors.

• Knowledge of local building codes, safety standards, and regulations.

• Experience in site logistics and managing construction schedules.

• Familiarity with testing and commissioning phases in civil projects.
