Job brief

The Mechanical Engineer plays a vital role in supporting day-to-day manufacturing operations by ensuring efficient production workflows, maintaining product quality, and upholding safety standards. This position bridges the gap between planning and execution, working closely with supervisors and technicians to solve production issues, implement improvements, and sustain high levels of operational performance. Responsibilities

Leadership:

· Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

· Develop, implement, and monitor production schedules and workflows.

· Assign tasks and prioritize work activities for production team members.

· Track and analyze production data to identify and address bottlenecks and inefficiencies.

Quality Control:

· Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure products meet specifications.

· Conduct regular inspections and identify and address quality issues.

· Work with other departments to resolve quality concerns.

Safety:

· Ensure a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and procedures.

· Conduct safety training for team members.

Management:

· Maintain accurate production records and documentation.

· Prepare reports on production performance, quality, and safety.

· Identify and recommend process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.

Requirements and skills

• Providing guidance and direction to team members.

• Identifying, analyzing, and resolving production issues effectively.

• Communicating clearly and concisely with colleagues, supervisors, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, or a related field (preferred).

• 0-1 years of experience in production or a related role.
