Role Description The Signaling Engineer will work full time on-site in Riyadh, supporting the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of signaling systems for rail, transit, or industrial infrastructure projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing signaling designs and drawings, conducting site surveys, reviewing technical specifications, and ensuring compliance with relevant safety and regulatory standards. The role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, and clients to integrate signaling solutions with other systems and resolve technical issues. The Signaling Engineer will also participate in commissioning activities, analyze system performance, support troubleshooting, and contribute to documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement of signaling practices.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of signaling principles, system architectures, and safety standards in rail or industrial control environments.
• Experience with signaling design, installation supervision, testing, and commissioning of signaling and control systems.
• Ability to read and prepare technical drawings, schematics, and documentation using relevant engineering tools and software.
• Understanding of systems integration, interfaces with telecommunications, SCADA, and power systems, and coordination with other disciplines.
• Knowledge of applicable international and regional standards and regulations related to signaling and safety-critical systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Railway Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on safety and reliability.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
• Prior experience in Saudi Arabia’s rail, metro, or industrial infrastructure projects is an advantage.
• Professional certifications or training in signaling systems, safety integrity, or rail engineering are beneficial.
